In this section, I'll highlight some of the businesses featured on BritShopping that particularly caught my eye for the quality of their products or their contribution to the local community. It speaks volumes that R&R Polishing Ltd and their cutlery shop are in their 4th generation of family ownership. They have been manufacturing cutlery and silverware in Sheffield since 1946, continuing one of Sheffield's great traditional industries.
Their products are of a high quality and they have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
What I find most impressive, however, is their commitment to Sheffield and its industrial legacy. R&R Polishing are still manufacturing out of their Jericho Works factory on Holme Lane in the city as they have done since the 1970s.

The story of Hair Syrup is one of a young entrepreneur creating something genuinely useful, with a successful business being the natural result.
In 2019, Lucie Macleod created a formula to revitalise hair in her student kitchen at university. Finding it worked well for her own hair, she began giving bottles to friends and family.
In 2020, she went viral for her haircare journey, and began to sell bottles of Hair Syrup after thousands of requests. The enterprise has continued to expand and can now be found in retailers like Boots.
